Largs Reserve Clubrooms
The redevelopment of the Largs Reserve clubrooms has created a contemporary new presence overlooking the sporting fields, bringing together a robust mix of materials suited to its coastal community setting.
Designed by SMFA, the building combines exposed concrete, timber, glazing and dark steel detailing. Stratco’s NINELINE™ Box was selected for the upper-level façade, adding depth, texture and a strong vertical rhythm to the exterior.
The pronounced geometry of the profile creates changing areas of light and shadow across the building throughout the day. Its clean, regular lines provide a sense of order within the broader mixed-material palette, helping the different elements read as one cohesive architectural composition.
While visually distinctive, NINELINE™ Box does not overpower the building. Instead, it gives definition to the upper level and contributes to the clubrooms’ confident, contemporary industrial character.
The result is a practical community facility with a clear architectural identity; one that responds appropriately to its sporting context while establishing a strong presence at Largs Reserve.
